Self Impression Kit Instructions

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LAB IS CLOSED NOV 28th - DEC 5th.

IMPORTANT

If any bridge work or fixed ortho appliances are present then an impression should only be taken by a qualified, registered dental professional. We have a list of 'Preferred Provider' clinics we work alongside.

The XSGuard Mouthguards impression kit is not suitable for children under the age of 12 due to the likelihood of numerous milk teeth still being present. We recommend that children under 16 be supervised by an adult at all times during the impression taking process. If you have any concerns regarding your childs dental health, please contact your dental practice.

Dental health is extremely important.We strongly recommend that any loose teeth or impending dental work be treated/completed before using the self impression kit.

OPTION 1 - Mail Order Impression Kit

Step 1.
On this page choose what type of guard you want (plain/text/fangs/graphics), click and pay for your mouthguard (PayPal and debit cards accepted).

Step 2.
A self impression kit is mailed out to you which also includes easy follow illustrated instructions and link to video tutorial. This kit includes a form for you to fill out your colour/design/sport/contact details.

Be sure to include this with the completed impression!

Step 3.
Complete the self impression and post it back to our lab with your form using the enclosed pre-paid (UK only) bag. Don't forget to include your name and mouthguard description

Step 4.
Using your impression we make your custom fit mouthguard and post back to you.

Simple!

OPTION 2 - Clinic Impression Appointment*

Contact one of our 'Preferred Providers' to arrange for your dental impression to be taken in the clinic.

*Please note that the clinic impression will incur an extra charge. Contact the surgery direct for accurate pricing.

Mail Order prices include the XSGUARD Self-Impression Kit.

In each kit there is enough impression material for two attempts and simple, step-by-step instructions. Extra putty is available to purchase from this page in the unlikely event of a mistake.
